In September 2017, DELTA 26-2250 officially made its debut. After three years, the machine is still on the top 200 best miter saws for the household.

In general, the model gains compliments from the robust motor and unique robot arms, making it available for tough wood-making tasks.

Notwithstanding, the DELTA machine still has many weaknesses that need to be fixed to raise its public preference. We will dive deep into their features through the sections below.

Who Should Buy This Product?

As mentioned above, this DELTA model is well-known for its powerful engine and smooth cuts. Therefore, this saw may be an awesome choice for those who usually perform tough, high-demand tasks or professional contractors.

Robust motor

Delta 26-2250 Review

When mentioning DELTA 26-2250, it’s a must to discuss its robust engine. With the 4000 RPM motor, the DELTA is distinctive from other saws in the market, most of which are equipped with 3,800 RPM engines.

When putting the 2250’s power with other DELTA’s models in the scale, how robust is it? Well, based on my experience, this saw works smoother and stronger.

You can take the maximum crosscut capacity as the proof. For other models, the maximum thickness cutting is about 12 to 16, while the relevant DELTA machine works a bit better – 18 inches.

Distinctive robot arms

Delta 26-2250 Review

What makes me love DELTA’s miter saw is its unique robot arms. This is the distinguished point that only DELTA saws have. When surfing along DELTA 26-2250 reviews, you can see that lots of customers praised this amazing feature.

So, what exactly is the robot arm, anyway? In short, this is a built-in handle on the right side of the miter saw, which works as an articulating system to control the movement of the blade, the miter, and the bevel as your demand. Therefore, there will be fewer unexpected deviations.

To add-in, these robot arms are designed with a smooth sliding mechanism so that you can minimize the saw’s size when there is no need to use it. You must consider this amazing feature when compared to this 26-2250 to other models.

Precise and smooth cuts

Delta 26-2250 Review

With the robot arm design, this DELTA item enhances the preciseness in your cuts. You don’t have to worry about deviations anymore, as the robot arm will help you provide the best accurate cut as your need.

Additionally, this DELTA miter saw has seven positive stops on the most popular bevel angles. Such various stops provide you a better chance to adjust the blade’s angle and perform smoother cuts.

Which Features Need Improvement?

Severe problems

According to Delta, the handle is designed to help me carry the saw around easier and quicker, but I don’t find it useful at all. The miter saw has a 30 x 26 x 21.5 inches dimension and a weight of 57 pounds, yet comes with a 5-inches handle.

With such a small size, it is quite challenging to pick up the saw. I always feel flimsy when picking the handle, as it seems not strong enough to endure the weight of the big machine as 26-2250.

Insignificant problems

There is an insignificant problem with this DELTA product. There are times that I need to work in dark environments or the night. It could be so difficult to see the wood and the blade properly at these times because of the lack of light.

Then, I wish this miter saw will have an additional LED work light or at least a laser guide to sightsee the wood better and perform smoother and more precise cuts.

In short, the DELTA 2250 is efficient enough, and suppose there is an extra work light; everything about it is perfect.

If I had to recommend other miter saws within the same cost range and similar features, I advise you to look up BOSCH CM10GD and DEWALT DWS716 for further information.

Significantly better performance

In case you are looking for products within the cost range but can overcome 26-2250’s weaknesses, you should opt for the BOSCH GCM18V-12GDCN and FESTOOL KAPEX. These two gained lots of positive comments for their robust performance.
